It's the last day of 2013. Time to see where the thirteen things ended.
Thirteen for 2013 (Updates in parenthesis.)
Improve my photography skills(I guess I'm marginally better but truthfully I did not put the effort into this that it needed to count this as a real improvement.)Compete in my 2nd indoor triathlonTrain for my first sprint triathlon – hopefully compete as well(Didn't happen. We'll see about 2014. The ones I am interested in conflict with an activity my daughter has been patiently waiting for the opportunity to participate in at her school.Be able to strongly run 13.1 miles – hopefully complete a half marathon race(Didn't happen. I'm close but December was a running desert. Snow, demands on my time, holidays and honestly a little winter blues contributed to the days empty of running.)Visit Dark Sky Cabin at least 3 times- Break free from sugar . . . again. . . (ACCOMPLISHED. I sat at the table infront of the delicious display of desserts at the family Christmas party and didn't touch any of them except my grandmother's strawberry fluff. Not out or torture or testing but because I just didn't want them.)
Establish an herb garden(Didn't happen. We'll see about 2014.)Pay off one significant personal loan(nope.)Finish my bedroom – painting etc(nope.)- Establish successful off site food garden (ACCOMPLISHED.)
Learn 2 new chords for the guitar – hopefully F & B(Nope. But, I got to teach my boy a bit of what I do know and that was way more rewarding.)Bicycle as a family at least once a week in warm weather (nope.)- Faithfully live with both feet in God’s kingdom (I made strong confident strides with this. It was a pruning year for sure. It's painful and ugly but draws you closer to the vine and that pretty much sums up our 12 months in 2013.)
